LORD COLIN RENFREW is in India to deliver two lectures as a Curtain Raiser to the 150th ANNIVERSARY (1861-2011) of ASI. He will deliver lectures on 15th& 16th December 2011 at India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi.
Today, on 14th December 2011, he visited the Archaeological Survey of India ( ASI) headquarters and interacted with Shri JawharSircar, Secretary (Culture), Govt. of India, Dr.GautamSengupta, Director General, ASI other senior Archaeologists of the Department.
In his brief but informative interaction the archaeologists and officials of ASI had a foretaste of the extremely rewarding lecture in store on 15th and 16th December 2011.
The visit of LORD COLIN RENFREW was an occasion of great goodwill and encouragement to the ASI family.
